Description


A ServiceNow QA Analyst is responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of ServiceNow applications by designing, executing, and maintaining test cases. They work closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to validate that ServiceNow configurations, customizations, and integrations meet business requirements.

Responsibilities

Test Planning & Strategy

  • Develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts for ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD, etc.).
  • Define QA processes and best practices for ServiceNow implementations.

Manual & Automated Testing

  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA, ServiceNow ITSM, or HP ALM.
  • Work with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, ServiceNow ATF) to improve testing efficiency.

ServiceNow-Specific Testing

  • Validate workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, and integrations (REST/SOAP APIs).
  • Test ServiceNow upgrades, patches, and new feature releases.
  • Ensure data integrity and security compliance in ServiceNow.

Collaboration & Reporting

  • Work with developers and admins to troubleshoot issues.
  • Provide QA status reports and metrics to stakeholders.
  • Support end-users during UAT and training.
