Description

We are seeking a Snowflake RBAC Engineer to design, implement, and optimize Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) frameworks, ensuring secure and efficient data access management. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing access policies, optimizing unused roles and objects, and enhancing Snowflake's operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

RBAC Design and Optimization:

• Design and implement a robust RBAC framework aligned with security and compliance requirements.
• Develop and manage complex role mappings, ensuring appropriate access levels for user groups.
• Regularly review and optimize existing RBAC structures to enhance security and operational efficiency.

Unused Role & Object Management:

• Identify unused roles and objects within the Snowflake environment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to assess the necessity of existing roles and recommend consolidation or removal.
• Streamline the Snowflake environment by analyzing and cleaning up unused objects.

Operations & Monitoring:

• Monitor Snowflake's environment for performance, availability, and security issues.
• Implement proactive monitoring tools and practices to detect and resolve potential threats.
• Provide support and troubleshooting for Snowflake-related incidents.

Collaboration & Implementation:

• Work closely with business units and data engineering teams to understand data access needs.
• Ensure effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Assist in implementing best practices for role and object management.
