A seasoned SAP Commerce Architect with deep expertise in platform architecture, design standards, and best practices. Proven track record in leading large-scale re-architecture initiatives for SAP Commerce (Hybris) environments, driving measurable improvements in performance, scalability, and system reliability.

Experienced in designing robust, future-ready commerce ecosystems aligned with enterprise objectives. Strong communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams including engineering, product, business, and infrastructure stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery and alignment.

Principal Architect will lead the technical vision and evolution of Kubernetes-based infrastructure platforms supporting large-scale, GPU-enabled workloads across on-prem and hybrid cloud environments.

This role owns end-to-end platform architecture, defining standards and reference designs for multi-cluster, multi-tenant, and HPC environments. It provides technical leadership across engineering, SRE, and automation teams, guiding distributed systems design, infrastructure automation, workload orchestration, and observability.

The architect ensures scalability, resiliency, operational readiness, and business alignment, enabling reliable infrastructure as a service for internal teams while supporting long-term growth.

You should have:

• 10+ years in platform engineering, infrastructure, or distributed systems
• Deep Kubernetes expertise at production scale (on-prem + hybrid)
• Strong Linux, networking, and automation background (Terraform, CI/CD, scripting)
• Experience with GPU/HPC environments preferred
• Proven ability to influence technical direction across teams

Lead and support DevOps and Cloud engagements across delivery, pre-sales, practice development, and team enablement, ensuring projects are executed to best practices and continuously improved.

Responsibilities

• Lead transition and delivery of DevOps/Cloud engagements; define metrics and drive service improvements
• Partner with Delivery teams to ensure successful project initiation, execution, and closeout
• Support pre-sales with solution design, estimates, risk assessment, and technical guidance
• Contribute to DevOps practice evolution, service offerings, methodologies, and IP
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and mentoring DevOps team members

Experience

• 10+ years experience, advanced DevOps/Kafka depth, automation at scale, and technical leadership
• 7+ years in IT/professional services; 3+ years as DevOps Engineer
• Strong Kafka expertise (clusters, security, tuning, replication); MongoDB preferred
• Hands-on with Kubernetes/OpenShift/Tanzu, CI/CD, IaC, containers, monitoring, and telemetry
• Proficient in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure; GCP a plus), scripting, Linux/Windows, networking
